Welcome! If you're looking for a place to be inspired, encouraged, and giggle a tiny bit, you're in the right place!
Okay this is going to be fun! I want to show you *How to Style Your End Tables 3 ways,* kind of like *How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days* exceeeept….okay, it’s nothing like that. Shoot. That IS my favorite movie, though.
Our room needed a little sprucing up and I wanted to do SOMETHING by the end tables. We used to have lamps, but didn’t use them (and didn’t like them), so I sold them. You gotta love having money in your pocket to get something you WILL like!
Okay, I’ll cut to the chase…here are the three options I was debating between (and imagine that they would be on both sides of the bed)…
Option 1 - Below. Drift off to sleep with these peaceful birds (?) flying next to your bed, and some reading materials and decor. If you’re a Target girl, like me, you may have seen that this bird artwork was just on sale! It came in a pack of two complementing pictures/frames — perfect for two end tables! Oddly, however, I don’t really like birds. Like at all. But I do like this picture. Interesting.
I like this option because the books could easily be switched out for whatever your current reading materials are, to make it more functional. And how easy is it to lean up a picture against the wall? So easy and cute!
Option 2 - Below. Pare a cute lamp with artwork above it to add some height. I love this option! Lighting is always nice, and it looks clean and crisp. Moving along…
Option 3 - Below. A window pane mirror…also on sale at your local Target! RUN! (at least it was…?) I always love decorating with mirrors because they instantly make your room bigger and brighter, since the light bounces off of it. And I like this option because there’s just one small thing on the end table, which looks clean and leaves room for extra stuff that inevitably accumulates.
So which option do you like best?? And what did I choose???? Do you feel like you’re watching an episode of house hunters, except I’m buying something I’ll sleep next to, rather than, oh ya know… live in.haha.
While you think about what option we chose, I’ll distract you with cute pics of my kid trying to photobomb my end table’s photo sesh!
Drum roll please…we chose…Option THREE!
And now for some before and afters, side by side. Don’t judge how messy our end tables were!
OH! Side note/Tip…we got rid of our bedside alarm clocks because we never used them for alarms (does anyone?) Most people use their phone, right? Luckily, we have a digital clock on one of our dressers so we can still see what time it is in the middle of the night. I just thought I’d mention it in case it frees up space on anyone else’s end tables.
I know…we’re not talking a HUMUNGOUS difference here, but, in my opinion, end table decor draws your eye outward to make for a more substantial focal point. And every little improvement helps to beautify and LOVE the space you live in.
Thanks for coming on this little end-table-decor-selection-journey with me.
Huge hugs and sweet *bedside end table* dreams!
